ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project is so much more than just learning a dance - you’ll get the opportunity to discover more about the creative process behind fusion group choreography, learn about staging, formations and transitions, different schools of fusion and other dance technique and how to apply them seamlessly for different stylistic effects, all while levelling up your stage presence, expression and musicality.
You’ll also have the chance to perform live in the Gala Show stage at an international festival with your seat to watch the show included in the price, so you can catch all the other stunning dancers too!
This choreography is designed for dancers of intermediate/advanced level and a minimum of at least 2 years of regular training with Rachael is recommended, or three years of regular fusion training otherwise, though a background in any bellydance style would serve you well.
There will be extra investment for costuming though this will be kept as much to a minimum as possible.
To participate you must be ready to make the time commitment involved to learn the piece in advance and attend all in person training and rehearsal time.
About this year's concept...
ABOUT THIS YEAR'S THEME
This piece is the epitome of opulence and baroque grandeur! We'll be dancing together with an air of nobility and grace, incorporating the mystique of the masked ball with the collective synchronicity of the waltz alongside the spellbinding allure of fusion bellydance all presented with a dark and powerful edge.
This piece is a true love letter to both old school and new school fusion as well as classical Egyptian bellydance and Reda style, though all reimagined with a new thematic setting and with lots of exciting formations and transitions.
Prepare to reimagine boundaries as we explore this unusual thematic realm full of creative potency and mysterious magic! This piece is a joy for all fusion technique and expression junkies with a penchant for the unusual.
Expect swift transitions, challenging turns and spins, classical foot patterns, old school juicy hips and shimmies, and elegant and interesting arm work. This piece truly is a unique and interesting fusion and I guarantee you’ll learn vocabulary and concepts that are brand new to you!

Rachael is a wonderful, inspirational teacher. I have only been attending her classes for a few months but I feel I have learnt so much already! Each class is well structured, with sufficient time spent on warm-up and conditioning exercises that help you to develop good and safe dance techniques. The choreographies that Rachael brings to class are beautiful and are great fun to learn. They offer challenge and introduce new techniques to work on, but each movement is broken down and drilled, with a lot of helpful hints, tips and guidance from Rachael that all help you to grow and develop as a dancer. Her meticulous approach combined with her fun, warm personality make her a great teacher. No matter what level you are at, as her student, you feel encouraged and empowered to explore and learn.
